The distributors on the car have never been rebuilt, to my knowledge. With the carburetor rebuild and timing belt change, it felt like the time had come to rebuild them. I removed them from the car on January 23rd, 2022.

Dave received the dizzys on February 1st, and rebuilt and sent back on Feb 4. While he did not find anything that was too damning, he did notice a few issues:

1. The advance was too far forward, maybe up to 16 degrees.
2. The distributors themselves are mismatched.
3. The weights in one of the distributors were not stock, they were hand made. While that is not a problem itself, they need to be setup properly.
4. The advance mechanism in one distributor was not installed correctly and did not have the correct parts.

Dave then setup the carbs and they’re ready to go.
